Desktop freezes when trying to move icon to new position.

Bug description:
Upgraded Ubuntu 20.04 to 20.10 yesterday and found that Desktop
freezes everytime attempt to rearrange icons on desktop using mouse.
All attempts to unfreeze failed. No other programs will open including
Terminal. Only way to clear was power off.
