Public bug reported:

I have just upgraded from Kubuntu 18.04 to 20.04. I closed Chromium
while the upgrade was running when I was prompted to do so. Chromium
changed to Chromium Snap. A new tab that opened told me all my old data
was taken over. Chromium Snap did take over bookmarks, but it did not
take over cookies and passwords.

** Affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
