To reproduce: 1) Start totem with a video. Wait until in opens up and starts playing. 2) Switch to another terminal and issue totem --pause. The second instance outputs: % totem --pause GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) and terminates normally. The first instance crashes with SEGFAULT.
