  Thunderbird : Delete key does not delete mail

  Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
  Kernel : KDE Plasma 5.18.5
  5.8.0-55-generic
  64 bit

  What you expected to happen
  With opened mail message, pressing Delete-key on keyboard should move message 
to Trash, and return to show Tb main screen

  What happened instead
  Nothing
