Title:
Trash Bin "empty" indicator does not work consistently

Status in gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My OS is Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
  OS type is 64-bit
When I want empty the trash bin:
I right click on the TRASH icon and select "Empty the rubbish bin".
A display comes up the says "Empty all items from the Rubbish Bin ?" and I
select "Empty Rubbish Bin".

The next display that SOMETIMES comes up for a moment confirms the
process has been done. When this display shows then shortly after that
the indicator on the icon show she Trash is empty. When the said
display does not appear the "empty" indicator DOES NOT appear.I have
not been able to that this behaviour is related to certain apps that
are open when I empty the Trash bin.

Whether the "empty" indicator works or not the trash is always emptied
BUT you have to open the Trash to see that it has been emptied.

I have made screen recordings showing what I have been experiencing.
