Dell system dual boots to blank tty1

Bug description:
Dual boot with Windows 10. System has UEFI. Disabled secure boot. Dell
XPS with RTX 3070 boots to blank screen. tty2 works but still cannot
get display manager to work.
I selected a minimal install with 3rd party enabled during install.
