Public bug reported:

The tracker service is continuously writing and deleting more than 20G
of 120GB partition (only 20G left). I do some development on this system
but this what I create and delete is < 1MB per hour and tracker writes
20G per a few seconds! For now I solve it by using .nomedia files,
but...

Creating .nomedia files everywhere is not a solution. Whenever I forget
to create it my drive is under high writing pressure. Please, create an
option in the settings for settings up this tool and optionally turning
it off. E.g. an option to select tree of folder that should not be
indexed would be enough for me.

Description: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
Release: 20.04
tracker-miner-fs: 2.3.3-2, http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64
Packages

I expect that indexing service will not take more space than the actual
data that is changing. Instead changing the small chunks of files cause
non proportionally higher writing on the disk (TBW on NVMe).
