I set in settings scaling for my 2560x1600 laptop screen. After reboot
this settings reset every time. And I can't set custom scale factor. I
used for this functionality simple script:
# Enable rotation lock to avoid issues with xrandr.
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.touchscreen
orientation-lock true
# Xrandr scaling hack, --panning is used in order to let
# the mouse navigate in all of the 'generated'
# screen space.
xrandr --output DP-4 --mode 2560x1600 --scale 1.333x1.333 --panning 3413x2133
# Change scaling factor (GNOME)
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface scaling-factor 2
# Confirm script execution
echo "Script finished execution"
It working fine.
