Thank you for your bug report, could you add your .xsession-errors to
the bug when getting the issue? It's likely that gvfs-ftp is segfaulting
or something, could you attach gdb on it after it's started to see if
that happens?

Title:
  lost connection while copying several files via nautilus

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I copied several files (the typo3 package) to my webspace via nautilus
  and after a while the connection is lost. This happens not only now
  but also in former times very often. Using the old school gftp works
  very secure. I use gftp with passive mode and this is  was always a
  good choice for me. I had never never any issue.
