Public bug reported:

When trying to connect to a shared file from a windows pc via samba in
nautilus, authentication is prompted. Windows pc has no password set.
Nautilus does not understand this problem and keeps requesting
authentication.

Windows pc is windows 10. Only one account - Administrator with no
password. Access to this windows pc is easy via another windows pc,
credentials are prompted for and the login is "Administrator" with a
blank password. With nautilus, when the password, nautilus will
continually ask for login credentials, like they are invalid.
