Public bug reported: Currently Transmission (Qt client) crashes really often when you just use it against a distant server. This is because the RPC callback tries to update an UI element that is often destroyed.
Please backport this patch to Ubuntu releases as soon as possible as this crash is very frequent for some users. https://github.com/transmission/transmission/pull/1604 ** Affects: transmission Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: transmission (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: transmission (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Bug watch added: github.com/transmission/transmission/issues #1510 https://github.com/transmission/transmission/issues/1510 ** Also affects: transmission via https://github.com/transmission/transmission/issues/1510 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to transmission in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1966780 Title: transmission-qt crashes when UI element is destroyed before RPC call gets to update it Status in Transmission: Unknown Status in transmission package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Currently Transmission (Qt client) crashes really often when you just use it against a distant server.
