There is a manual fix for this, but it has to be done every time you open "Gnome Disks".
The app is divided into 2 sections (the left one where disks are listed, and the right one where details about a disk are shown) that are divided by a... divider :) The fix is to grab (click+hold) the divider and move it to the right, which will make room for all the buttons in the top bar. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1832606 Title: GNOME Disks Missing 'Close' Window Button When Set To Left-Hand Side Status in gnome-disk-utility package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When setting window control layout to the left hand side rather than the right, GNOME Disks (gnome-disk-utility) does not show the 'Close' button, however the 'Minimize' and 'Maximize' buttons are still present.
