The snap package has all kinds of problems so I installed the tar.bz2 package from the Firefox website and as you can plainly see I have 91.0.2 installed per the attached screenshot.
I dunno what is wrong with the snap package but the downloading and saving of files is all messed up such as not saving to the downloads folder and when I click on "open containing folder" nothing happens... so I uninstalled the snap package. The only thing annoying me presently is the update message coming up multiple times a day and would very much like to shut it off permanently. ** Attachment added: "Version of Firefox I currently have" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1970492/+attachment/5584325/+files/Screenshot%20from%202022-04-27%2019-32-13.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970492 Title: Firefox update pushing me to update to 91.0.1 when I am on 91.0.2 Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I am using Firefox on Ubuntu 16.04 and has been spamming me to update my browser for awhile now and thus I did so today to 91.0.2, only to discover the update spam continues telling me to update to 91.0.1 :/ What can I say, why is pushing people to update to a previous version a thing? Please give me a patch that allows users like me to choose whether I want to update, OR NOT, and disable the update spam message that occurs multiple times a day!
