  eog can't read a perfectly legitimate JPEG image

Bug description:
  If you try to open the attached image with eog, it shows an error
  "Suspension not allowed here." Also, the file manager can't show a
  thumbnail. AND if you set this image as the desktop background you get
  a black background.
