FYI, the upstream debian package for guile has been updated (by rlb) to fix this. I have no objection to closing this item.

This causes packages using configure w/ guile.m4 macros to fail: GUILE is defined but not GUILD. So builds which use commands (in the Makefiles) of the form "$(GUILD) compile ..." will fail. Suggest adding guild-2.2 to the install process.
