is nautilus --gapplication-service
in a script like while :; do nautilus --gapplication-service 2&>1 >/dev/null; done a sane approach, as suggested in the referenced discussions ? ** Description changed: Hi, Ubuntu 22.04 here. A right click on Nautilus icon ( in the dock ) does not always show the list of bookmarks ( automatic and manually added ). Nautilus has to be already launched and running in order to show that list. This list of « shortcuts » was ago always accessible on right click - in Unity. It's a very convenient list of shortcuts, non-intrusive, calm on the eyes, and fast. On Xorg I may be able to launch Nautilus as a minimized window, using xdotools or wmctrl or devilspie. On Wayland I don't know how to do that : starting Nautilus as a minimized window with my session might be a workaround for that missing list. But ideally an option for Nautilus to start minimized sounds cleaner ( - but options like -u or --start-minimized are not offered by Nautilus + but options like -%u or --start-minimized are not offered by Nautilus afaik ). + + For references : + ⋅ https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2073543 + ⋅ https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2072493 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1986468 Title: right click on icon does not always show bookmarks Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hi, Ubuntu 22.04 here.
