Public bug reported:
It is posible to apply "workaround" by adding options snd-hda-intel
model=dell-headset-multi in a -cong file in /etc/modprobe.d/ then
restart.
Hardware is Intel NUC gen 11 and it has been out for over a year,
perhaps it is a good idea that a more permanent fix i being pushed in to
wherever it is required. Unfortunatly I do not have the competence to
solve this but it would make sense to make it work "out of the box" if
possible.
