Title:
[sandy bridge] xorg freezes with 100% cpu usage

Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
xorg freezes randomly with 99% cpu usage on one cpu core. I can still move
the mouse and use ssh to login/restart. Switching to a console with CTRL + ALT
+Fx or using CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE (after enabling of course) doesn't work.
Compize is disabled (no 3D support for the integrated graphics).
I believe (but I'm not sure) this happens when switching to an other
application, showing the desktop or switching to an other virtual desktop.
