For those having the same problem: You can simply replace the URL to open in order to make it work. Instead of /remote.php/dav/files/$USERNAME you can use /remote.php/webdav/

Reimaged back to 22.04 and it worked. Error message is "Message recipient disconnected from message bus without replying Please select another viewer and try again." I have tried webdav from mate 22.10 and gnome 22.10 with same failure. Crash report fails as well but I was able to get a copy before deleted.
