fluid layout width extends too much

Bug description:
Software Center layout is set to resize to any window size. Besides
the fact that the banner after 1600px (or less) breaks, such a wide
layout is not recommended when you deal with a grid, becomes very
difficult to read line by line. There should probably be a maximum
width for the internal container (1280?) keeping it centred in the
windows.
