What is the file format/extension you are trying to click on?

Also, did you try right clicking and selecting 'Allow Launching'?

Title:
  Clicking links on desktop doesn´t take me to the web

Status in gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When I click a link on the desktop (i.e: Snap-store) it doesn´t take me to 
the web.
  I've also tested uploading a file, but the browse button to search the file 
doesn´t work. 
  I have tested with Chrome.deb, firefox snap, opera deb, and snap-store, and 
the result is the same.
