Thanks for the update. I just tried Thunderbird 111 beta 2 "Supernova" on Ubuntu 22.04 but unfortunately the situation (laggy UI, very high CPU usage on moving mouse cursor in message pane) is still the same. Let's hope the next version will improve on that.
