  GNOME Maps silently fails to launch under Ubuntu MATE Lunar Beta

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Boot the Ubuntu MATE Lunar Beta ISO, and click "Try Ubuntu MATE".
  2. Open the application menu, and search for "Maps".
  3. Click "Maps".

  Expected result: GNOME Maps should open.

  Actual result: Nothing happens.

  Additional info: Attempting to launch GNOME Maps from the terminal
  results in this:

  ** (org.gnome.Maps:8037): WARNING **: 05:06:41.954: Failed to load
  shared library 'librest-1.0.so.0' referenced by the typelib:
  librest-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
  directory
