Title: Black windows seen after moving Ubuntu to SSD from HDD Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I upgraded (cloned) an HD containing both windows and linux to SSD on an old desktop. Boot manager was grub and even after cloning it is able to dual boot window/Ubuntu just as before. Windows is working identical as before (but faster). Ubuntu also works except that only for few programs like Chromium, the windows are coming up as black. Rest of the Ubuntu OS graphics works fine. For example, I can edit a text file using Ubuntu Notepad but if I open "Kate" editor, all I see is a black window and I need to close it by clicking where the "X" button would have been (although I can't see it). This issue is similar to the one reported at: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2408433 I can't find anything similar except for the above thread upon searching on net. Would appreciate any help/info/pointers.
