Title:
  xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed: Input/output error

Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
On every reboot the following messages are shown in the journal:

  /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Deleting GPU-0
  /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (WW) xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed:
Input/output error
  /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (WW) xf86CloseConsole: VT_GETMODE failed:
Input/output error

This is consistent on every reboot on several machines (including a
cloud VM and metal). I was able to observe it on mantic and on jammy.

Is this a result of the GPU being deleted prematurely?
