I can't seem to reproduce this. There is no screenshot feature available in the login screen. Are you sure you don't have any extensions installed?
Even if it did work, you should expect screenshots to appear in ~gdm, not ~root ** Tags added: jammy ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2028311 Title: 22.04 : Default screenshot utility can be triggered from login-screen but useless. Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hi, Ubuntu 22.04 ( Gnome, GDM, Wayland ) Hitting « PrintScreen » key in login-screen launches default « new » screenshot utility. It seems to work, at the end it says « picture has been saved in the paperboard ». But how get hands on that paperboard later ? No picture is saved in /root. I suspect the screenshot utility should not be launch-able from login- screen, as it suggests something impossible to do ( get a screenshot of login- screen. ) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2028311/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
