Please attach /var/log/syslog after reproducing this issue. syslog is
pretty much the only place that will explain clearly what processes may
be started by NM while connecting and why the connection fails or times
out.

Thanks!

Title:
Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) does not connect to WiFi in Abu Dhabi airport
  (ADAC)

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I am stuck in Abu Dhabi airport due to a flight delay. There is and
has always been a free WiFi access ("ADAC Free Wireless). With the
most recent, fully updated 11.10 I cannot connect any longer. The icon
blinks and blinks, I have restarted, turned wireless on and off, even
changed locations in the building. It just has the 'quarter-circles'
of the icon moving up and startng again moving up until times out.
Everything is okay hardware-wise, because booting to that W7-Starter
partition (original partition) on the Samsung N150 brings up WiFi in
all those locations in Abu Dhabi airport without any hitch.

Unfortunately I don't know as of now how to debug the WiFi connection in
Ubuntu.
At least, here is all that I get from the W7
  ipconfig /all

This bug should not be the case. When I fly back next week (January
22), I'll be able to continue my investigations, if I have s set of
commands to get the connection details verbose.
