Confirming that the pivot to the alternate port, 3390 worked for me too.
Not sure when, or how out of the box MS RDP app for MacOS suddenly
stopped working. Looks like the port shift on Ubuntu was quite a while
ago. Thanks for the diligence and the tip. Guessing this ticket can be
closed now?
