A lone and somewhat anonymous user speaking on behalf of an anonymous company is unlikely to change current Ubuntu/Canonical policy regarding the use of the Firefox snap in the more recent releases of Ubuntu and its various flavours.
Apparently this change was requested sometime ago by the Firefox developers: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2021/09/ubuntu-makes-firefox-snap-default https://www.linux.org/threads/ubuntu-to-make-firefox-snap-default-in-21-10.36749/ However, the change or reverting to previous defaults isn't really a bug and requires more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2036398 Title: Please revert to .deb install for firefox Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Opinion Bug description: Snap is a pain to maintain for sysadmins and are unreliable for companies because they cause addons breakages. Please revert to distributing firefox through .deb. In our company, we are forced to use mozilla's ppa to deploy firefox because of all that.
