Title:
wayland fractional scaling breaks some screenshares

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  1) Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS with Gnome and Wayland
  2) Unsure what package is the problem, here are the versions of a few:
  gnome-shell 42.9-0ubuntu2
  xdg-desktop-portal 1.14.4-1ubuntu2~22.04.1
  xdg-desktop-portal-gnome 42.1-0ubuntu1
  xdg-desktop-portal-gtk 1.14.0-1build1
  3) expected: with fractional scaling enabled, sharing a window to an
application would share the full window
  4) actual: for some apps, only the top-right part of the window is shared

Some apps are displayed correctly, like terminal and file explorer,
but other apps only show the top-right, such as virtualbox and
vscodium. When fractional scaling is disabled, these apps share
  properly again.

It doesn't seem to depend on the app you are sharing to, I tested it
on firefox, chromium, and OBS studio and it was consistent across all
  3. Attached is a screenshot of virtualbox being shared through
chromium and only the top left part of the window is being shared.
