I'm also experiencing this bug. OS: Linux Mint 21.3 Xfce. I have an external monitor whose native resolution is 5120×1440 px. I earlier used it in a reduced resolution of 3840×1080 px, before figuring out how to get the native resolution. The command xrandr still lists the 3840×1080 mode I added earlier. I'd like to get rid of it, because (1) I don't need it anymore, and (2) for some reason, when I start up my computer, the external monitor's resolution defaults to it, and I'm thinking getting rid of the resolution might resolve the problem.
