Any directory or file looks like the same blank "paper". The whole window is actually just in grey except of the forward and backward arrow. It looks very basic. I did a reboot but that made no difference. I am almost (!) sure this occurence came up after updating Ubuntu today. If there is need for a screenshot or any further information, just send me a message.
