Title:
  Nautilus crashes with SIGABRT on sync_counter_for_end_frame when
  copying files

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I experience random crashes when copying files using nautilus between
  external hard drives with both NTFS and ext4 filesystems. I recently
  upgraded to 24.04.1 from 22.04.4 when it became possible. The message
  reads:

  Gdk:ERROR:../../../gdk/x11/gdksurface-x11.c:649:sync_counter_for_end_frame:
assertion failed: (impl->toplevel->extended_update_counter != None)
  Bail out!
Gdk:ERROR:../../../gdk/x11/gdksurface-x11.c:649:sync_counter_for_end_frame:
assertion failed: (impl->toplevel->extended_update_counter != None)
  Neúspěšně ukončen (SIGABRT) (core dumped [obraz paměti uložen])

  Once, the copy status in the left bottom corner even showed negative
  30000 files after completing (there were duplicates of files that I
  skipped) and completely froze the system, so it had to be shut down
  forcibly. journalctl had roughly the same messages regarding this (end
  of lines were cut off in the terminal):
