I've have this same problem quite often. This morning when I clicked the
mouse cursor on a letter in my text the flashing cursor appeared in the
line above and one character to the left. Rebooting resynced the
cursors.

I'm using LibreOffice 3.4.3, OOO340m1 (BuildL302) on a Mac OS-x 10.7.2,
and on a Ubuntu 11.10 running LibreOffice 3.4.4, OOO340m1 (Build:402)

The same problem is on both machines but the Mac has the problem more
often.
