Closing the lerc part of the bug, that was fixed in gcc and needs to be
backported (unsure why it was not part of
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-14/14.2.0-4ubuntu2 if it landed
upstream in the gcc-14 branch)

  gcc-14 has introduced a regression which causes it to crash when
  compiling valid code:
