Having exactly the same issue with multiple apps, thank God somebody suggested pressing WIN + holding middle button to resize the window without even getting a cursor.
The more I use Ubuntu 24, the more I want to get rid of it, so much bugs... I don't know whether it's a same bug, but Maximizing application doesn't persist on close/open. Some are probably caused by theming, as the windows' borders (or their color) makes them impossible to discern from the background windows. Just earlier I discovered another bug, related to detecting the click and window I clicked. I am trying to see the sub-content of a software update but the system reacts as I clicked the window below. In the recording you can see this happening both with the Terminal and with Firefox.
