2. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run:
ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash
Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug.
3. If step 2 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where
ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine.
Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please
send the links to us.
Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are
unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security
risk for yourself.

Moving from Ubuntu 23.04 to 23.10 came alongside a kernel update from
6.2.0-36-generic to 6.5.0-10-generic. As of the update, plugging in
my USB-C monitor causes my machine to immediately shut off its native
screen, followed by a crash and reboot.
My machine is a Lenovo Yoga C940-14IIL with an Intel i7-1065G7. No
logs are written to /var/log/syslog or journalctl. I have been able to
use my screens normally by reverting to the old kernel. This is my
first time reporting an issue to the regressions mailing list,
hopefully this provides sufficient detail. Thank you for your work.
