I have not seen anyone else reporting this issue so wonder are you
changing some setting on every machine you install Linux on?

Title:
No password dialog after waking up from sleep
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Since upgrading from 24.04 to 24.10, when the laptop wakes up from
sleep, it doesn't ask me for a password to login. It just gets me to
the gnome desktop, as if it never went to sleep (but it did). This
only happens on gnome, not on cinnamon or xfce that i also have
installed.
Laptop: Dell Inc. Latitude 5480 (this used to ship with ubuntu back in
the day, it was one of the supported dell/ubuntu laptops).
