Hi, this issue is quite bad on Ubuntu 24.04. I have multiple affected apps, most/all(?) of which are 3rd party apps. But it shouldn't matter that the affected apps are not from the Ubuntu repositories: they did work fine in 22.04 and they're also fine on Arch Linux with Gnome. Having multiple affected apps means that I have multiple identical(!) gear icons in the dock and I have to hover the pointer over them to even identify them, just as in the screenshot posted by Timur.
FWIW some of the affected apps in my case are Seafile, Mathpix Snipping Tool, ComicTagger. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to transmission in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2041094 Title: application doesn't show its proper icon and name under the dock Status in transmission package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in ubuntu-gnome-meta package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In mantic, when transmission-gtk is run, its icon is not showing properly in the dash.
