Public bug reported:
Audio stops working after going to sleep (I believe - I rarely
shutdown/restart my desktop). I have a set of external speakers plugged
into the audio jack that aren't getting picked up. There is only a
"Dummy Output".
Here are some outputs that might be useful for debugging:
➜ ~ uname -a
Linux mycomputername 6.8.0-51-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu
Dec 5 13:09:44 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
---
➜ ~ inxi -A
Audio:
Device-1: Intel 200 Series PCH HD Audio driver: N/A
Device-2: NVIDIA GP107GL High Definition Audio driver: N/A
API: ALSA v: k6.8.0-51-generic status: kernel-api
Server-1: PipeWire v: 1.0.5 status: active
This one might be the most concerning since those `Device-1` and
`Device-2` lines say `driver: N/A`. When I open the "Software & Updates"
program and go to the "Additional Drivers" tab, I do see that it says
I'm currently using `nvidia-driver-550` (which is the recommended one)
so that's confusing.
