Other times, the only thing that comes up is a black screen with a blinking cursor. Since installing the new version of Ubuntu, the only way I can see the GUI is if I launch Ubuntu in recovery mode and then reboot. This is very time consuming and inconvenient when I cannot boot directly into Ubuntu.
