Title: The Background section in Appearance panel should have an option to display the dotted grid Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: This option should be disable by default (ref. the updated specs). Afaik, the grid has been implemented by Cimi, please check which setting should be set.
