**Description:**

On Ubuntu 25.04 with GNOME 48 and Wayland, clicking the **"Clear"**
button in the **notifications panel** (center of the screen) frequently
causes the entire system to crash and forcibly logs the me out. This
results in the loss of open sessions and unsaved work.

**Steps to Reproduce:**

1. Boot into Ubuntu 25.04 (Wayland session).
2. Use the system for a while and build up some notifications.
3. Open the notification center by clicking date/time in center of top nav bar.
4. Click the “Clear” button.

**Expected Result:**

Notifications should be cleared without affecting system stability.

**Actual Result:**

The entire desktop session crashes and I am logged out.
