saying you had the same issue, any reason you reported a new ticket
rather than use the existing report? Also bug #2106116 is about RDP is
that also the setup you are using?

Title:
  Can't turn off wifi through settings

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I am unable to turn off wi-fi through settings. But it works when turning of 
through control panel. 
  In settings, when i click on wi-fi slider, the slider moves, but it doesn't 
actually turns off the wifi.
  I even tried re-installing the OS.
