Title:
"Image Collection" does not update selected image display when multi-
  selecting to the left

Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: eog

Ubuntu 9.04 (Up to date w/repos as of 11/16/2009)
  Package: eog 2.26.1-0ubuntu1

Expected: When multi-selecting left or right, update the image pane
to the most recently selected image.

What happened instead: It only works when selecting right.

  Reproduction:

  1. Open an image collection/directory. (Directory must have multiple images)
  2. If Image Collection is not shown below image, press F9 to toggle it on.
  3. Select any image that is not the "first" (leftmost).
  4. Hold Shift+Arrow Right to select next image. Image updates correctly.
4a. Hold Shift+Arrow Left to select previous image. Selection updates, but
the original image remains in the display pane

  4. and 4a. can also be duplicated with shift-click. Problem also
exist if using non-sequential multiselection with ctrl-click. If the
second selected image is to the right of the first, the display pane
updates. If the second image is to the left, it does not.
