Right-aligned labels would solve this specific problem by setting them nearer to its controls, as seen in the wireframe I'm attaching. But the solution arises other problems: the 'Background' label seems out of place, and the 'Launcher icon size' option seems to belong more in the 'Launcher' tab[1] (in the current implementation it's named 'Behavior').
[1]: I named the tabs 'General' and 'Launcher' following suggestion in bug 928764. ** Attachment added: "wireframe" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/928762/+attachment/2728359/+files/myImage.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/928762 Title: "Theme" and "Launcher" labels are hundreds of pixels away from their controls Status in Ayatana Design: New Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: gnome-control-center 1:3.2.2-2ubuntu6, Ubuntu Pangolin 1.
