Rhythmbox seg faults on opening. Music store NOT installed

Bug description:
Rhythmbox will open for a few seconds then close whether I try to do
anything or not. Messages in the logs indicate a seg fault. It happens
every time without fail. complete removal and re-installation did not
fix it.
