Title: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_model_get_valist() Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The sound-properties dialog (started via the sound menu or directly from gnome-control-center) crashes reproducibly when changing the "Play sound through" setting in the Output tab. After it crashed once, all subsequent attempts to start it fail, i.e. it crashes immediately on start. A workaround is using pavucontrol to change the sound source, after this is done, gnome-control-center can also be started again. When gnome-control-center crashes, it prints the following to the terminal: Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_list_store_get_value: assertion `iter_is_valid (iter, list_store)' failed GLib-GObject-WARNING **: /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.31.16/./gobject/gtype.c:4205: type id `0' is invalid GLib-GObject-WARNING **: can't peek value table for type `<invalid>' which is not currently referenced ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.2.2-2ubuntu8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-15.24-generic 3.2.5 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.91-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: 476acdb7217a83354f628beaa5c14f06 CheckboxSystem: daed2f3d6643b4a84b4520a2427f8c2b Date: Tue Feb 14 15:19:37 2012 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-control-center InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha amd64 (20100114) ProcCmdline: gnome-control-center sound-nua ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SegvAnalysis: Segfault happened at: 0x7f1ef930a0c5 <gtk_tree_model_get_valist+261>: mov 0x30(%rax),%rdx PC (0x7f1ef930a0c5) ok source "0x30(%rax)" (0x00000030) not located in a known VMA region (needed readable region)! destination "%rdx" ok SegvReason: reading NULL VMA Signal: 11 SourcePackage: gnome-control-center StacktraceTop: gtk_tree_model_get_valist () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-3.so.0 gtk_tree_model_get () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-3.so.0 ??
