I just wanted to alert everyone that the upstream bug #647083 was closed due to this being an issue with AppMenu-GTK rather than Gnome.
This is a bummer because Edit->Rating is the only way to rate multiple songs in Banshee. For now I'll be disabling the AppMenu for Banshee as a workaround per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationMenu#Troubleshooting -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to banshee in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751893 Title: Rating menu entry in the edit menu doesn't work Status in Application menu module for GTK+: Confirmed Status in Banshee Music Player: Unknown Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: banshee Steps to reproduce: 1) Select a song 2) Go to the Edit menu 3) The rating entry is broken, it has no function. What I expected: The entry shows the current rating of the song and allows you to change it, like the entry in the right click menu, when you click on a song.
