To reproduce:
1. Right click volume control indicator, select Sound Settings...
2. Select "input" or "output" tab.
3. Try to change the input or output.
Result: gnome-control-center instantly crashes with a segfault.
Impact: cannot select the correct microphone input, cannot make voip
calls.
